Welcome to Horsify! This guide gets your paddocks, horses and agistment agreements into Horsify, so you can see which horse is where, rest paddocks on time and have agreements signed electronically. Each step links to the full how-to in our Help Centre.
Where things are: Organiser menu, then Organisation, then Agistment. The page has five tabs: Overview, Map, Paddocks & stables, Agistees & agreements and Terms.
Your plan at a glance
| Which plan | Agistment is included in the Riding School plan ($39 a month, 60-day free trial) and Club Site Premium. It isn't part of the $10 Club Site plan. |
| Free trials | No card needed. If you don't add a card, the plan simply stops at the end of the trial and you're never charged. |
Full how-to: Agistment: paddocks, horses and agreements
Part 1: Set up (about an hour)
Step 1. Add your paddocks, yards and stables
Paddocks & stables, then Add paddock, yard or stable. Choose the kind, give it a name and set how many horses it takes. Add the area, features and its usual rate per day, week or month if you like. For a paddock, fill in Spell after this many days of grazing and Horsify will tell you when it needs a rest.
Step 2. Put your paddocks on the map
On the Map tab, find your property (or tap Add your property and enter the address). Under Not on the map yet, tap Draw beside a paddock and tap each corner. Once they're drawn you can save the view, and the map opens straight on a satellite picture of your property.
Step 3. Set up your terms and conditions
On the Terms tab, tap Start from the Horsify template and adapt it, or Write my own. The template is a starting point, not legal advice, so have it checked before you use it. Changing terms creates a new version, and each agreement keeps the terms exactly as they were when it was sent.
Step 4. Add your agistees and their horses
Write a New agreement: find the agistee in your clients (or tap Add a new client), add their horses with microchip number, Hendra vaccination status and date, then the paddock, start date, care and rate.
Step 5. Get it signed
From the draft, choose Email it to sign (the link lasts 14 days), Sign now on this device, Get a link to share, or Upload signed copy if it was signed on paper. You're notified when it's signed.
Step 6. Give your staff access to just Agistment
A yard hand can see paddocks, horses and jobs without seeing your finances. How-to: Staff access: who can do what
Part 2: Everyday jobs
| Job | How it works |
|---|---|
| See what needs doing | The Overview tab lists paddocks due for a rest, paddocks ready again, jobs due, agreements ending in the next 14 days and agreements waiting for a signature. |
| Move horses | Open a paddock, or on the map tick the horses, tap Move and tap the paddock they're going to. |
| Rest a paddock | Open the paddock, go to Rest and grazing, choose a Rest until date and tap Rest this paddock. You're reminded when it's ready again. |
| Paddock jobs | Tap Add a job (slash, harrow, spray, anything), choose how often it repeats, and tick Done when it's done. The next due date moves on by itself. |
| End an agreement | Open the agreement and use End this agistment. Choose the last day and, if you like, move their horses out that day. Agreements with an end date end by themselves, and you're told 14 days before. |
| Hire out your arena | Facilities and hire |
Good to know: the agistment rate is recorded on the agreement. Horsify doesn't invoice agistees for it automatically.
