Watch: booking a lesson in about a minute
▶ Watch the one-minute walkthrough
Overview
You can book a riding lesson online with any riding school that takes bookings through Horsify. You pick an instructor, a lesson and a time, then pay at checkout. Your school confirms the lesson and you get an email.
Before you start
- Use the Book Now link on your riding school's website, or the link your school sent you. This tells Horsify which school you are booking with. You can also find the school on the Riding lessons page (horsify.com.au/riding-lessons) and tap Book a lesson.
- You need a Horsify account to book. If you aren't signed in, Horsify asks you to Sign in or Create an account when you reach your details, then brings you straight back to the time you picked.
Booking a lesson
- On What would you like to book?, tap Select next to Lessons.
- Choose your instructor and tap Select. If you have ridden with the school before, your last instructor is marked.
- Step 1, Lesson: tap the lesson you want. Each one shows its length and price.
- Step 2, Date & time: the next available time is shown first, with more times below. Tap Select this time or tap any other time. To see other days, use Browse by day.
- Once you pick a time, it is held for you for 10 minutes while you finish booking.
- Tap Continue to your details.
- Step 3, Your details: check your details. They come from your verified profile. To change them, update your profile page.
- Under Who's riding?, choose yourself or your child. For a child who isn't listed yet, choose Someone else, then enter their first name, surname and date of birth. The lesson is booked in the rider's name and you stay the contact.
- Add anything your school should know under Special Requests or Notes.
- Tap Add to Cart, then check out to pay.
Booking the same time every week
After you pick a time, tick Yes, make this recurring. Then choose:
- How often: each week, or each fortnight.
- How many lessons: 2 to 52, including the first one.
- If a time slot isn't available: skip that week, or book the closest available time.
You pay for the first lesson now. The rest of the series is booked as pending.
Paying with a lesson package
If you have prepaid lessons with the school, or the school sells lessons in blocks, you will see a How would you like to pay? step after choosing your lesson. Pick your package to use one credit, with nothing to pay at checkout. A package covers one lesson at a time, so it can't pay for a recurring series.
After you book
Your lesson shows as Pending until your riding school confirms it, even once you have paid. You will get an email when it is confirmed. To see your lessons at any time, see Checking your upcoming lesson in the For Riders section of this help centre.
