Entering Your Family in One Order

    Overview

    One Horsify account can enter several riders in the same event — your children, or an adult who doesn't have their own login — in a single order, with a single payment. Each rider still gets their own registration, their own entry form and their own place on the entry list, exactly as if they had entered themselves.

    Who Should Use This Feature

    Perfect For

    • Parents and guardians entering one or more children at the same event
    • Anyone entering on behalf of an adult without a login — a partner, or a rider who prefers not to hold an account
    • Families competing across several divisions, where each rider needs their own classes

    Prerequisites

    • A Horsify account, signed in
    • Nothing else. You can add a family member from the entry form itself — you don't need to set them up in advance.

    Enter each rider in turn, then pay once. Checkout splits your basket into a separate registration per rider automatically.

    🧾 Each rider gets their own entry form

    Where an event asks entry-form questions, you fill one in per rider. Answers are kept against that rider, never merged into yours.

    💷 The member rate follows the rider

    Clubs that charge members less are charged per competitor, not per payer. If your child holds a membership with the hosting club, they get the member rate — even if you don't. If they don't hold one, they pay the standard rate even if you do.

    🎂 Age-restricted divisions are checked against the right person

    Where a division advertises an age range, Horsify shows it against the rider you're currently entering and warns you if it doesn't fit them. It's a heads-up, not a block — clubs often admit riders outside a published range, so the entry still goes through.

    How to Use

    Adding a family member

    You can do this from either place — they add the same person to your account.

    From the entry form (quickest):

    1. Open the event and click Register for event
    2. In the Registering as panel, click Add a family member
    3. Enter their name, date of birth and your relationship to them
    4. Click Add rider

    They're added to your account and selected straight away, so whatever you'd already chosen on the form is still there.

    From your profile:

    1. Go to My Profile → My Riders
    2. Click Add Rider and fill in their details

    Date of birth matters. Clubs use it for age-restricted divisions, and it decides how the rider is linked to you (see below). Enter the rider's own date of birth, not yours.

    Children and adults are linked differently

    Entering several riders at one event

    1. Open the event and click Register for event
    2. Choose the rider in Registering as
    3. Pick their sessions, tickets and divisions as normal
    4. Click Add another rider — this banks that rider's entry in your basket and hands you a clean form for the next one
    5. Repeat for each rider
    6. Click Review in Cart, then check out once

    Horsify moves you on to the next rider who has nothing in the basket yet, so you don't accidentally enter the same person twice. Your basket shows each rider's entries under their own name, and the event heading tells you how many registrations you're about to create.

    Entering someone who isn't on your account

    If you're entering a one-off rider you don't manage — a friend's child riding under your entry, say — open the event, click Additional registrations and type their name. They'll get their own registration under that name.

    A rider entered by name only has no date of birth or membership on record, so age advisories stay quiet for them and they're charged on your membership. If you'll be entering them again, add them as a family member instead.

    Good to Know

    • Riders added by a club are only visible to that club. If a club added your child to your membership, they'll appear when you enter that club's events. To enter them anywhere else, open My Profile → My Riders and click Add to my profile on their row.
    • Each rider is a separate registration. Cancelling or amending one doesn't touch the others.
    • You can't enter the same rider twice at one event. If you need to change their divisions, amend the registration they already hold rather than starting a new one.
    • Removing a family member keeps their past registrations and results intact — the record is marked inactive, not deleted.
