Password Reset Guide

    This guide explains how to reset your password in Horsify.

    Overview

    If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it using either:

    • Your email address — you'll receive a reset code by email.
    • A verified mobile phone number — you'll receive a reset code by SMS.

    For your security, reset codes are single-use and expire after 15 minutes.

    Resetting Your Password

    Step 1: Request a Reset Code

    1. Go to the login page and click "Forgot password?".
    2. Enter your email address, or a mobile number you have verified on your account.
    3. Click "Send Reset Code".
    4. A 6-digit code is sent to you by email or SMS.

    For your protection, Horsify always shows the same confirmation message whether or not an account exists for the details you entered.

    Step 2: Enter the Code

    1. On the reset page, enter the 6-digit code you received.
    2. Click "Verify Code".

    The code expires 15 minutes after it is sent. If it expires, simply request a new one.

    Step 3: Set a New Password

    1. Enter your new password.
    2. Confirm it by typing it again.
    3. Click "Reset Password".
    4. You'll be returned to the login page, where you can sign in with your new password.

    Password Requirements

    Your new password must have:

    • At least 6 characters
    • At least one uppercase letter
    • At least one lowercase letter
    • At least one number
    • At least one special character (for example !, @, #)

    Troubleshooting

    "Invalid or expired code"

    The code is more than 15 minutes old, or was entered incorrectly. Request a new code and use it within 15 minutes.

    Not receiving the reset email

    • Check your spam or junk folder.
    • Make sure you entered the email address linked to your account.
    • If you have a verified mobile number, try resetting by SMS instead.

    Not receiving the reset SMS

    • Make sure the mobile number is verified on your account.
    • Check the number is entered correctly. International format works best: +61412345678.

    Password not accepted

    Your password doesn't meet one of the requirements listed above.
