Overview
Four content blocks let you put your club store's products onto the pages of your club website: Product Categories, Products, Featured Products and Product Showcase. There is also a Store Page template that drops a ready-made combination of them onto a new page in one step.
These blocks are a shopfront display — they show products and link through to your storefront. The storefront itself (browsing, filtering, sorting, the cart and checkout) already exists at /store on your club site and needs no blocks at all. Use these blocks when you want products to appear on another page — your home page, a "Club merchandise" page, or a sponsor page.
Before you start
- Your organisation needs a club site subscription. The pages live under Club Site → Pages (the Site Pages screen).
- Your store must exist and be enabled, with at least one published product. See Setting Up Your Club Store. If the store is missing or switched off, every one of these blocks renders a short "Store is not available" message in its place rather than nothing at all, so a visitor is never shown a broken-looking gap.
Adding a block
- Go to Club Site → Pages and open the page you want (or click Create page).
- Click Add Block.
- Scroll to the store blocks near the bottom of the picker: Product Categories, Products, Featured Products, Product Showcase.
- Fill in the block's settings and save the page.
The four blocks
1. Product Categories
A navigation list of your store's categories.
Settings
- Heading — defaults to "Shop by Category".
- Layout — grid (category cards with an icon and an item count) or list (compact tag-style links with the count in brackets).
Categories come from your store automatically; there is nothing to pick. Each one shows how many items it holds.
2. Products
A grid of products from your store catalogue.
Settings
- Heading — defaults to "Our Products".
- Category — show every product, or narrow the block to one category. Defaults to All categories.
- Maximum products to display — 1 to 50, defaults to 12.
- Columns — 2 to 4, defaults to 3. The grid always drops to a single column on phones.
-
View all URL and View all text — optional button under the grid. Leave the URL blank to hide the button.
/storeis the usual destination.
Each card shows the product image, name and price, and links to that product's page. Only published products appear, in your catalogue's own order (the product's sort order, then name). The block has no sort control of its own — send visitors to the storefront at /store if they need to sort or search.
3. Featured Products
A more prominent panel for the products you have flagged as featured.
Settings
- Heading — defaults to "Featured Products".
- Maximum products to display — 1 to 12, defaults to 4.
The block picks up any published product with Featured switched on (Store → Products → edit a product → Featured). Cards show the image, name, short description and price. If the product has a Compare at price higher than its price, the card carries a "% OFF" badge and shows the old price struck through.
If nothing is flagged as featured, the block says so rather than showing an empty panel.
4. Product Showcase
Spotlights one product at full width.
Settings
- Product — pick from your store's published products. Required.
- Image layout — image on the left, or on the right.
It shows a large image, the full product description (falling back to the short description), the price, a discount comparison if a Compare at price is set, and a View Product Details button.
Only published products can be showcased. If the product you picked is later unpublished, the block warns you when you next open it and shows nothing to visitors until you publish the product again or pick another. Until you choose a product, the block shows "No product selected for showcase".
The Store Page template
Creating a page from the Store Page template pre-loads six blocks in this order:
- Hero — store banner with heading, subheading and a "Shop Now" button
- Rich Text — a welcome message you should edit to suit your club
- Product Categories — category grid
- Featured Products — up to 4 featured products
-
Products — 12 products in 3 columns with a "View All Products" link to
/store - Call to Action — a "Questions About Our Products?" contact prompt
Using the template
- Go to Club Site → Pages and click Create page.
- On Choose a Page Template, pick Store Page.
- Change the page title if you want. The slug defaults to shop, which is a working address — see the note below before changing it to
store. - Edit the individual blocks (in particular the Rich Text welcome message, which ships with placeholder wording about shipping within Australia).
- Save, then publish the page.
A note on the store slug
/store on your club site is already your storefront, so it is not a slug your own page can use. That is why the template defaults to shop instead. If you type a slug Horsify already owns, the editor warns you underneath the field before you save.
One thing the store slug does do, deliberately: the storefront looks for a published page at that slug and, if it finds one, uses that page's Hero block as the storefront's banner. So if what you actually want is to brand the storefront itself, create a page at the slug store with just a Hero block on it and publish that. The rest of a page at that slug is never rendered.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| "Store is not available" / "Store is not enabled for this organisation" | No store record for your club, or the store is switched off in Store settings. |
| "Store is currently disabled." | The store exists but is not enabled. |
| "No products available at this time." | Nothing in the catalogue is published, or the store is empty. |
| "No categories available." | The store has no product categories set up. |
| "No featured products available at this time." | No published product has Featured switched on. |
| "No product selected for showcase." | The Product Showcase block has no Product ID, or the ID does not match a product in this store. |
| Your new page shows a Horsify page instead of yours | The slug is one Horsify already owns (store, about, events and others). The editor flags these under the slug field — pick a different one. |
