Extreme Cowboy Racing Discipline

    Overview

    Horsify supports Extreme Cowboy Racing (ECR) as a fully recognised equestrian discipline, with a ready-made set of standard division names so you can set up a competition quickly. ECR appears everywhere disciplines are used, entries are scored on horsemanship (highest score wins), and running orders follow the standard EXCA reverse-registration draw automatically.

    Discipline recognition

    Extreme Cowboy Racing is a recognised discipline throughout Horsify. It appears in:

    • The discipline selector when you create or edit an event
    • The competition class discipline options
    • The discipline-scoped class-name picker (see below)
    • Results, where ECR entries are scored highest-score-wins

    Standard ECR divisions

    Horsify includes the standard Australian ECR division catalogue so you don't have to type division names from scratch:

    Pee Wee Pistols, Young Guns, Rookie Rider, Intro, Novice, Green Horse, Intermediate, Youth, Non-Pro, Ride Smart, Pro, and Open.

    Each carries its usual age or eligibility guidance (for example, Young Guns is 7–11 years; Ride Smart is 55 years and over; Green Horse develops horses new to ECR).

    How to Set Up an ECR Event

    There are two easy paths.

    Fastest: start from the Extreme Cowboy Race template

    1. On the Organiser Dashboard, start a New Event.
    2. Choose Start from a Template.
    3. Pick Extreme Cowboy Race. This creates the event set to the ECR discipline and seeds a starter set of divisions (Youth, Green Horse, Novice, Intermediate, Non-Pro, and Pro / Open).
    4. Adjust the seeded classes — rename, add or remove divisions, set fees and capacities — to match your event.

    Manual: add ECR classes yourself

    1. Create the event and set its discipline to Extreme Cowboy Racing.
    2. On the Competition Classes page, click Add Class.
    3. Set the class discipline to Extreme Cowboy Racing and choose a division name from the class-name picker, which offers the standard ECR divisions listed above.
    4. Set the entry fee, capacity, age limits and other details, then save. Repeat for each division you're running.
