Multi-Society Horse Registrations

Overview

Riders can now record registration numbers across multiple equestrian societies for a single horse. For example, a horse can be registered with Equestrian Australia (EA), AQHA (Australian Quarter Horse Association), and NCAS simultaneously, with all registration numbers stored in Horsify. Custom entry form auto-fill now includes horse registration numbers, so competition forms are pre-populated with the correct society registration details.

Who Should Use This Feature

Perfect For

  • Competitive riders whose horses are registered with multiple equestrian bodies (e.g., EA + AQHA, EA + PCA)
  • Breeders managing horses registered with breed societies (AQHA, WB studbook, etc.)
  • Event organisers whose entry forms require proof of registration with a specific body

Prerequisites

  • The rider must have a horse registered in their Horsify profile
  • The equestrian society (registry provider) must be configured in the platform

How It Works

Registration Details

Each society registration stores two things:

Field Description
Society The registry provider (e.g. EA, AQHA, NCAS)
Registration Number The horse's registration number with that society

Entry Form Auto-Fill

When a rider opens an event entry form that includes horse registration fields, Horsify auto-populates the relevant society registration numbers from the rider's horse profile. The society shown depends on the event's required membership body configuration.

How to Use

Adding a Society Registration to a Horse

  1. Navigate to My Horses in the rider profile
  2. Open the horse's details for editing
  3. Under Society Registrations, click Add Registration
  4. Select the Society from the dropdown (e.g. Equestrian Australia)
  5. Enter the Registration Number
  6. Add another row for each additional society, then save the horse

Viewing All Registrations for a Horse

  • On the horse profile, all society registrations are listed under Society Registrations
  • Each entry shows the society name and registration number

How Auto-Fill Works at Entry

  1. Open an event entry form that requires society registration
  2. Select your horse from the horse picker
  3. If that horse has a matching registry link, the registration number field is pre-populated
  4. Verify or correct the number before submitting
