Competition Class Enrolment in Manual Registration

    Overview

    When organisers manually add a registration on behalf of a participant (via the admin registration flow), they can now select competition classes during the manual registration process. Previously, competition class selections were only available through the self-service checkout flow and had to be added separately by admins after registration. This change brings manual registrations to feature parity with online self-service registrations.

    Who Should Use This Feature

    Perfect For

    • Event organisers who add registrations on behalf of participants (e.g., phone registrations, day-of registrations)
    • Club secretaries manually entering competition entries for members
    • Administrators processing entries received via paper or email forms

    Prerequisites

    • You must be an admin of your organisation
    • The event must have Competition Classes configured
    • The event must be open for registration (or the admin must override the registration deadline)

    How to Use

    Adding a Manual Registration with Competition Classes

    1. Navigate to Organiser → Events → [Event Name] → Registrations
    2. Click Add Registration
    3. Enter the participant's Email, First Name and Surname (all required). There's no rider search — you type the details in directly.
    4. Leave Create Horsify Rider Profile ticked so the entry links to the rider's account (if a profile already exists for that email, the registration is added to it automatically for them to manage). Untick it to record the entry without creating an account.
    5. If the event requires horse nomination, enter the horse name for each class the rider enters.
    6. In the Competition Classes section, select all classes to enrol the rider in.
    7. Configure any additional form fields (sessions, stabling, custom fields).
    8. Optionally tick Mark as paid to record that payment has been collected, and choose the Payment Method (Cash, Bank Transfer, or Card).
    9. Click Add Registration.

    Viewing Class Enrolments on a Manual Registration

    • After saving, the manual registration appears in the entry list with class selections visible
    • Class selections appear in the registration detail view, emails, and PDF receipts

    💰 Fee Calculation

    When classes are selected during manual registration:

    • Each class's entry fee is added to the total
    • The entry fees total is shown before you confirm the registration
    • Classes set to a $0 entry fee show as Free
