Delete PendingPayment Registrations

    Overview

    Organisers and system admins can delete registrations that are stuck in PendingPayment status. This allows cleanup of abandoned checkouts — for example, where a rider started but never completed payment — which previously required Horsify platform support to resolve. Registrations in Cancelled, PaymentFailed, and PendingPayment statuses are all eligible for permanent deletion.

    Who Should Use This Feature

    Perfect For

    • Event organisers cleaning up registrations from riders who abandoned checkout
    • System admins performing bulk cleanup of stale payment-pending registrations
    • Club treasurers ensuring the registration count reflects actual committed participants

    Prerequisites

    • You must be an admin of your organisation (or a Horsify system admin)
    • Only registrations in PendingPayment, Cancelled, or PaymentFailed status can be deleted
    • Paid registrations cannot be deleted — use the refund flow for paid registrations

    How It Works

    Eligible Registration Statuses for Deletion

    Status Deletable? Reason
    PendingPayment ✅ Yes Abandoned checkout — no payment received
    PaymentFailed ✅ Yes Payment was attempted but failed
    Cancelled ✅ Yes Already cancelled registration
    Confirmed / Paid ❌ No Use refund process instead

    Permanent Deletion

    Deleting a registration permanently removes it from the system. This action is irreversible.

    How to Use

    As an Organisation Admin

    1. Navigate to Organiser → Events → [Event Name] → Registrations
    2. Filter by Status: Pending Payment or Payment Failed
    3. Select the registration(s) to delete
    4. Click Delete Registration
    5. Confirm the deletion in the confirmation dialog
    6. The registration is permanently removed

    As a System Admin

    1. Access the Admin Registration Management section
    2. Search for the registration by ID, email, or event
    3. Confirm the registration is in an eligible status
    4. Click Delete — the registration is permanently removed

    Important Notes

    ⚠️ Deletion is permanent. This action cannot be undone. Ensure you have identified the correct registration before confirming deletion.

    💡 Capacity is restored. When a registration is deleted, any reserved spots are released, allowing other riders to register.
